                                ORDINANCE NO. 9818
                  
                  
                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHATTANOOGA CITY CODE,
                   PART II, SECTION 24-501, THROUGH STREETS
                   DESIGNATED, AND SECTION 24-502, SPEED ON
                   THROUGH STREETS.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That:
       	    	 SECTION 1.  Chattanooga City Code, Part II, Section
       24-501, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended so
       as to add the following:
            Shepherd Road, from Shallowford Road to West Shepherd
                 Road.
           
            West Shepherd Road, from Shepherd Road on the north end
                 to Shepherd Road on the south end.
           
           
       	    	 SECTION 2.  Chattanooga City Code, Part II, Section
       24-502, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended so
       as to add or delete the following as noted:
           
            DELETE:
           
            Hixson Pike, 50 miles per hour from Cassandra Smith Road
                 to the City Limits.
           
            Hixson Pike, 45 miles per hour from Adams Road to
                 Cassandra Smith Road.

            ADD:
           
            Shepherd Road, 35 miles per hour from Shallowford Road
                 to West Shepherd Road.
           
            West Shepherd Road, 35 miles per hour from Shepherd Road
                 on the north end to Shepherd Road on the south end.
           
            Hixson Pike, 45 miles per hour from Adams Road to City
                 Limits.
           
           
       	    	 SECTION 3.  This Ordinance shall be effective two (2)
       weeks from and after its passage as provided by law.
